The Studio is easily accessible by road, (A3 and A31) with ample parking nearby. It is also connected to London by rail with Alton being the final stop on a direct link to Waterloo.
The building was lovingly built by Richard about 25 years ago as a sculpture studio; using a locally felled Sequoia tree, reclaimed windows and doors. It is now transformed creating a warm, natural space that feels like a true retreat. Although it is located in one of Hampshire's market towns, it has the feeling of a secluded sanctuary — quiet, grounding and deeply restorative. Inside, once you are settled in it feels like it could be anywhere in the world!
Filled with light, surrounded by plants, and infused with birdsong from the garden, this environment feels deeply relaxing and safe. It is an ideal space for private sound healing and therapeutic sound journeys.and holds the resonance of the gongs and singing bowls beautifully.
During your session, you can rest comfortably on a mattress with soft blankets and cushions (or sit if you prefer) while gongs and singing bowls are played intuitively and with love. Each 1:1 sound therapy session is unique and created for you. As well as the extraordinary sonic experience on offer Richard and Jo are adept story tellers and happy to create stories that relax and elevate you based upon your birthdate or time of year.
In the colder months, the studio is warmed by a wood burner, and evening sessions are lit by local beeswax candles, creating a magical atmosphere into which you can sink and flow.
After your session, you are given a home-made seasonal drink and snack, perhaps a slice of tangerine covered in chocolate or even lunch if that has been organised giving you time to gently return, reflect, and integrate the experience.
