Soundbath at The Sanctuary, Harry Edwards Foundation - Guildford

Soundbath at the Sanctuary

Let the resonance of bowls, gentle gongs, and soft chimes roll like distant thunder. Waves of sound move through the body, steadying the breath and quieting the mind.

Why it helps

Sound baths calm the nervous system, guiding the body into a more restful, parasympathetic state. Many people find their breathing slows, muscles release tension, sleep improves, and mood feels clearer and lighter afterwards.

What to expect

  • A guided arrival with simple breaths to settle

  • Immersive tones from bowls, gongs, and chimes for deep relaxation

  • A gentle closing and time to re‑ground

What to bring

Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, along with extra blankets and cushions for comfort. Warm layers and socks are recommended so you can fully relax.

Your guides

Richard Farrington and Jo Carter created Soundshine to share their love of restorative sound. With imagination and care, they weave together the tones and silences of gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, and other special instruments to create a deeply nourishing experience.
